I got this from a friend and is very interesting if you have not seen it
before. 73 de w5jay/jay..

A little over 40 minutes long............

A really fascinating story in pictures of the preparation and manufacture of
quartz crystals for radio communication.
Dating back to 1943... how times have changed...

Hello, I'mrepairing my T-368, this rig was picked up a month ago.
? Found were some 'interesting' modifications that needed to be reversed.

I am in need of the chassis connector 'j8' a 15 pin Amphenol female connector, (this is the socket on the chassis that accepts the plug from the exciter). Apparently somebody needed the original for some other project.
?I believe Collins used this connector on some of the military equipment. Thanks & 73, Ed AB3HT

I know this is slightly off subject since this is a HAM forum, but
maybe someone could steer me in the right direction, or maybe the
discussion can take place here???

I want to know if anyone has ever licensed a not for profit AM radio
station? What I am talking about is NOT a tax exempt station because
it will have a political view, but just a non profit AM radio
transmitter, transmitting news and opinion on the news and perhaps
music in the between periods on the commercial bands, to operate from
private property at what ever the maximum power allowed would be.
Probably only operate a few hours a day...or night....to begin with.

The local station here is a not for profit since in runs mostly on
donations. It is a religious station that works in conjunction with 2 other
stations. It is Montrose Broadcasting I believe.
