Since TVI is a lot less likely to be a problem nowadays, those cabinets 
with extra shielding like the Viking II and HT-20 are really a pain.   I 
really think the DX-100 is the best all-round value and solid performer 
and it includes 160 meter coverage, but I dread having to pull it out of 
that cabinet!   If you're willing to look a little harder, the B&W 5100 
and 5000B are, in my view, superior transmitters with excellent VFOs and 
modular construction, but like the Apache only cover 80-10.   I guess 
that's why DX-100Bs remain in high demand.
