[AMRadio] Now I get it, and a Johnson 500 question

Well, all the traffic on doing away with AMSWAP and selling stuff on this list revealed what I don't do that some do in regards to 'replying' and the problems it creates. I have both addresses in my address book, and I always make a new email if I comment or ask questions. Maybe that screws things up on the home page display of comments because it doesn't link them together like I've seen elsewhere. To me it is just as easy to highlight the subject of discussion, paste it in the subject line, type the letter 'A' in the address bar and all my 'A' selections come up and I pick the appropriate one.

Also don't really know what all the hubbub is about on the 'certain individual' who sells here regularly. I have dealt with him for several years now, he is a square shooter, and I always check what he has to offer. The majority of sellers seem to concentrate on what we need in our AM world which is good, but with such a captive audience, any lack of character on their part will surely be remembered by the participants here.

Anybody have any ideas on a Johnson 500 that has a bad problem with oscillating PA? Loads up fine with drive, but on unkey, VFO, or crystal, osc. mult. and driver stage shutdown like they are supposed to, but PA runs at a nice 200ma and you can load it up just fine...on some freq. The clamp tube thinks it still has drive and does not clamp anything. Checking by pass caps now, but so far so good. The final is an 4-400 Eimac, and loads up beautifully giving full output on freq, and 80 watts off on it's own.
