[AMRadio] trades, sales, auctions, even wanted

I started using eBay back in about 97 or so and found it to be populated
with very nice sellers and people who would honestly describe their
products. eBay's success quickly changed all that as many of you will
remember Martyn and all the bad press he received.
I don't, personally, don't care if the price I choose is market or not.
I just decide what I want for something and advertise it. There are a
couple of guys who have bought stuff I have reconditioned and sold to
them it on eBay for handsome profits. That is their prerogative but I
had an advantage of hams who helped me when I first started out by
giving me parts and older equipment for free just to help a young kid
starting out.
Today I send stuff to people who have helped me and others for no cost
and don't even ask for anything but consideration of new hams starting
or give advice when someone wants to repair their equipment. So that is
a departure from my previous behavior of using eBay.
All three of us do our dead level best to be open minded about what
happens here. I believe in the value of anyone who subscribes and will
do anything I can to keep them as members.
So your comments and others who value the auction sites are welcome and
will be considered. If you have suggestions on how to integrate the
site or sites then post them for all of us to read. It would be
appreciated. For example there is another auction site run by a ham. I
have never seen an item posted there but the service is available and no
one but hams can put items on it.
