You are asking for a lot Charlie, When people are in a hurry they
forget and, add to that, the neophyte user who doesn't know how. Not
that anyone here is a neophyte but it happens.

I recommend trimming the original post to everyone, please try but for
more reasons than this. It also saves space in the archives. I don't
know how many of your donate to the owner of the equipment but it would
be a good idea because he makes space for us and does not charge a fee,
he lives on donations. So give it a thought, any amount will help.

As for the auction place. I would ask that you offer anything you have
here first to give your friends and neighbors a chance. Then if you
don't receive an answer put it over there. Think of this as a big
hamfest but remember that not everyone reads the messages daily, so give
it a few days before you think you didn't have a request. But don't
take that as an endorsement of putting ads here for stuff you list on
eBay.

We have a few guys who list stuff on the Swap list and they sell it at
reasonable prices. I urge all of you to make use of those resources.
There are crystals available from them and you can't beat the price. A
new 100 KC crystal for some of the manufacturers will be over $100
unless it is the same circuit that Collins uses. So, as you see, that
is one heck of a difference.

One last thing. Please take the time to read the rules. Some have
changed over the years but not a lot. With the group we have here
everyone takes care of themselves and helps others. I just wish the
bands were as it is here.

TNX to all & 73

But the main thing I hope folks remember to do when replying, is to
delete the body of the original message, or at least most of it leaving
a line or two in case somebody forgot what the original was about. I
rarely go to the home site, receiving all comments in archived form in
my email, and at times, the email can be huge due to the body of an
original comment or sale item being resent over and over.
