Brian, that is correct, I have a NC-2-40C model with the round meter and bands are setup completely different, no band spread for the ham bands...

Brian,

I don't see any bandspread calibration on your NC240 dial.  As I recall, the first receiver in this family that came out just after the war was the NC240C with just general coverage, no bandspread.  Then the NC240D came out with general coverage plus bandspread for 80, 40, 20 and 10 meters, like the coverage offered on the pre-war NC200.
