Brian,

Thanks for the enlightment on your NC240 D and the problem you've had getting bandspread calibration. The dial on my NC200 still has readable bandspread calibration. It's in red on the four arcs closest to the center of the dial. 80 meter calibration is closest to the center, and 10 meters is furthest out. The six arcs on the outside are in black and carry the general coverage calibration. The bottom of the BC band is closest to the center, and the highest frequency range is furthest out. There is no zero to 500 scale as there is on your 240 dial. It looks as though the bandspread scales on the NC240 D dial were located in between the general coverage scales, in the spaces between the C and D, B and C, A and B scales and beyond the A scale.

My NC200 has colored squares that come up in those two open slots on the bottom of the dial. They indicate which scale is active. I suspect that your receiver has the same arrangement. But because of the different position of the scales on our two receivers, the squares on the 240 would probably not indicate the correct scale if you were using a 200 dial.

I could drop my 200 out of the cabinet and take a photo of the dial if you really wanted it, but it would take a bit of work as you doubtless know. Are you interested?
