Charlie, the original 6 meter Cummicattor was a model # 3088 ,w/6 volt+120 vac .The # 3079 model was the same generation but for 12vdc+ 120 vac per Tube Type Transmitter Guide. There was an earlier model which had only one xtal position and that was a # 3025 or 3026 ( confusing, will explain) .73 CU on 6 ,Jim

Subject: [AMRadio] Gonset differences

Does anybody know the difference between the Gonset Communicator and the
Communicator II? I am trying to get a manual, but so far only the Comm II is
listed. Can not find a model number anywhere, just says Communicator, 6 meters
on the front. It is the 6VDC/115AC version though, and original, not a Civil
Def. version, with the tuning eye and screwdriver tuning controls, no knobs.
Works like a champ, just would like a manual.
