Anybody on this list experienced with the RAK VLF RX? I have a real nice one that I'm building a supply for, but have some conflicting info. In one manual, it says it runs on 250vdc, no mention of the 90vdc. Another shows a schematic with a PS that has 180 and 90 vdc out. Neither manuals talk about the 90 volts other than to say the radio will work with a battery supply of 180vdc. When I put my bench supply on it, the line marked 90 coming from the RX has about 90 on it already, but the PS schematic shows a dropping resistor to a regulator that is drawn like a neon bulb, thinking BC348 type here, and shows 90vdc to the RX. RX seems to work fine with just 180 or more on it, with no low B+ applied, even though there is a wire out the back for 90vdc. So, does anybody know the why and wherefores about this voltage mystery?
