Good evening all,

This thread will not be about tubes, HV and modulation transformers, but is directed towards those of you who actually build and use Class E Transmitters. I know (judging by brilliant descriptions on the web) that such transmitters are going more and more popular.

I'm at the moment building one for myself. It works around a PWM modulator and a mosfet class E PA, for 100W @ carrier. This is my very first homebuilt (kit-based) transmitter, so I would like to be precise and efficient.

I have got some questions (as a beginner):

For class E Gurus: What would you advise me to make my transmitter both AM es CW-capable ?

For all homebrewers: Did some of you ever design a Class E CW transmitter and/or a CW receiver ? Where could I find a description ? I'm walking on the web, but cannot find something within my reach, technics-wise.

I'm working around a DDS-Chip based LO, a class E Mosfet PA (not necessarily very QRO at first), and I think I have got what it takes, parts-wise, to build a simple first CW transmitter.

I miss advice, examples, schematics.

Would somebody here be kind enough as to answer me (schematics, advice, design examples, class E CW design principles...)

Friendly,

Ben/F8GRY
