Just a thought, and it may not be still available, but try a "sheet metal" 
shop in your area that makes it's own air conditioning/heating ducts.  While 
a lot of it will be galvanized steel, they also carry some aluminum for some 
work they do.  I used to get even thick, near 1/8" stock bent for cabinets 
at a local one.  The sizes you are talking about would be scrap to them and 
they might welcome a sale of it.

As I said, this may be another "thing of the past" and all of them now order 
pre-fabbed ducting from overseas anymore.  Worth a try though.
