My problem is the Sugar Maple is about 29 feet from the backside of the
house.

The insulated #12 or #10 is THHN. (Which I also possess.) I have to go
over the Maple, and secure the end a good distance from it.

I am currently trying to find a way to go over the maple, not chew the
insulation up during use, and get the wire up to use it.

The branches where the trunk forms a "Y" are only around 3" in
diameter. There is no safe way to get up there and affix something like
a sheave. Even if I did find a safe way to go with a sheave, I'd have
to use a fiber laminated one as is used on sailboats. This would allow
for the swaying and movement. Then again, it would be very difficult to
fasten to the tree, and they sure aren't inexpensive.

Balanced wire feeds won't work here either. I they would, I'd have gone
that direction over 20 years ago. The "shack" is in the lower level of
a split level house. The lower level is below foundation level. Taking
anything outside means boring through 8" of reinforced concrete.

So the hunt for a safe and long term solution still is being sought
