[AMRadio] Ferrite slugs for SX-28A

After about two years, I am finally getting around to re-alignment of my
restored SX-28A. I've already done everything but the RF/Mixer/HF Osc
section due to the fact I have several slugs in the transformers either
stuck due to someone in years past putting what appears to be glue around
the top of them, or the slugs are just broken into pieces.

I'd like to get ideas on how to remove the bad ones (no slot left for
screwdriver), and some ideas on how to get these glued ones out.

Most importantly, I need to find some replacements. I need about 7 to 10
of them. I have had no luck except one nice ham sent me 3 NOS a year or so
ago.

Here is a link to my restoration project on a basket case SX-28A that now
plays beautifully even without the RF alignment.

Any help on a source for the slugs and ideas on getting the bad one's out
would be much appreciated.
