Pretty much where I'm at now, Bernie. 'Desired' for me is armchair,
natural sounding copy. I put in enough years on CW and SSB digging out
DX and weak signals. While we all try to work the weak ones who break
in to an ongoing QSO, getting a headache regularly doesn't thrill me
anymore.

I've posed the same question numerous times. It seems that, like any
group, there are always a few who will go to great lengths to talk
about it and expend little or no effort actually doing it. Guess the
internet brings them more enjoyment and fulfillment than actually
getting on the air.

Enjoyed working you and the group on 80m last night. Your signal was
40-50db over S9 here in NC. I'm sure I could've heard you at half that
level, but it wouldn't have been nearly as enjoyable or comfortable.
Particularly with the static crashes. Several of the stations that
were 10-20 over were dropping out from time to time due to competition
from the atmosphere.
