What you are missing is the final amplifier in your DX-100 is a "CLASS C"
stage, not a LINEAR FINAL like you are used to in the SSB transceivers.
The DRIVE control on the DX-100 is to set the proper grid drive level for
the 6146 finals! NOT TO CONTROL OUTPUT POWER!
