Just thought I'd share the news with you all that I am in the process of re-arranging my Studio B here to accommodate the return to a prime operating position of my 1962-vintage E.F. Johnson Viking II "CC" transmitter, alongside either my Heathkit SB-301, Drake R-4, or my homebrewed 1929-style 12-tube superheterodyne receiver...

As I was telling a friend of mine just a few minutes ago, I had forgotten just how very heavy that 80-pounfd V-II really is! But it's working FB into a dummy load right now, & all I have to do still is re-format some peripherals here so that my D-104 microphone might match the connector on the front of the thing.

That rascal sounds sweet even on CW! What a (HUGE!) beauty.

The plan here is to utilize the rig up around 7290 - 7295-KHz for casual rag chews in the daylight hours...
