I always assumed that an "Elmer" was really the reincarnation of the Walt
Disney character Elmer Fudd who always tried to shoot the Rabbit but always
missed his mark. Perhaps, an Elmer Fud still lives among us on the
hambands as the "Elmer" or AMer who tries to stomp out "slop-buckets."
However, as we well know, these SSB stations or slop bucket stations keep
coming out of their bushes - like the rabbit - to irritate the heck out of
us AMers. And so it goes. It's so funny and so hilarious, I think that I
will just leave it at that!!
