Another true entertainer has been lost.

I think I talked with him once or twice during my days using a very 
rough Valiant when I was in high school, but I spent untold hours 
listening to him as an SWL. My Mississippi QTH was close enough to 
Houston that I could hear him on 75 meters most of the day, especially 
in the mid 60s and early 70s before the noise floor went through the 
roof.

Whenever he would get into his "story mode," (which was usually during 
about every other transmission) it was time to just crank up the 
volume, rip off the knob, sit back, and know you would soon be 
laughing out loud, even if you were by yourself.

We have lost too many of the great ones.
