A bit off the main topic but FYI. I have been buying goodies on Ebay for
about seven years using pay pal. started getting email telling me that I was
approaching my spending limit of 10,000. and that I had to be verified for
security to identify who I am, by providing a bank account number, after
numerous calls did reach someone that said ignore the email it is phishing.
a few weeks ago they did cut off my buying completely ,again asking for bank
account number. Numerous emails stating that I can provide credit rating,
profession registration, drivers license, etc to identify who I am get only
an automated response to provided bank account number. did reach one person
that said FAX info to a bad telephone number!
They have the worst customer service that I have ever encountered, almost as
if they intend to antagonize. Also not sure how it happened but last
summer my credit card( the pay pal had) was being used around California and
it had to be canceled, pay pal is in CA. Sorry if this is off topic, but I
thought I would share. Bernie
