Hello everyone.

I am a ham new to the AM world. I grew up as a teenager working around an AM
broadcast station and now I am desperately trying to get my first "proper"
AM transmitter project on the air. Right now all I have is a ricebox (a
Yaesu FT-450). I was fortunate enough to find a restorable Johnson Viking II
at the Orlando Hamfest this summer and brought it home along with 2 new
6146s and a manual.

But alas, my $50 radio is missing the top cover! It is otherwise 100 percent
complete and has not been modified or had any holes drilled in the cabinet.
My first effort has been to replace the electrolytic capacitors.

Now I desperately need a top cover. Does anyone have a parts radio they
would like to sell (with a good lid). I will be coming to the
Lawrenceville/Stone Mountain Georgia Hamfest Saturday November 5th in the
event you are also planning to attend.

Please take a look at my beginning efforts to restore this radio.

This is my first project so any and all advice is welcomed and appreciated.

Thank you kindly!
