The 6S4 sounds good and I think I have some.
What I would really like to know is the procedure for determining the bias
parameters. Class C is a different type of class. The drive and bias needs
to be such as to have a conduction angle of about 70 degrees and it needs to
be driven hard enough to go to saturation and then some. But one must
consider grid dissipation, don't want that little fence glowing.
So how does one arrive at these values with a set of plate characteristic
curves? As I said earlier, I know that the bias is about 3 times cutoff,
but how positive are the drive peaks to be and how much Ig will result?
