Welcome to all of you that have joined us recently. Thanks for coming
aboard.
Let me remind you that the link to the rules for this group is at the bottom
of each message. Please read them if you have not. There is also a contact
address on another link for your convenience. Use that is you need to speak
to us privately.
Now let me state outright that I believe all of us are adults and we behave
that way. That is the reason you don't see a lot of messages from myself,
Brian or Todd. 99% of the time people reach an agreement or agree to
disagree and that is best. I don't say much about topics or posts unless I
feel it is going to get out of hand personally. That is the reason you
don't see much from us. The participants here don't seem to argue.
Let me remind all of you about the number of people here that have a lot of
expertise. You will find someone here who has either participated in the
design or repaired much of the equipment available to us. So feel free to
ask any question you wish and someone will help. Discussion about how to
accomplish any change, modification or repair is encouraged, there is more
than one way to do things and if all options are presented, then the user
can make that choice. Some topics go on for a very long time it seems.
That is up to the participants who wish to discuss it. I will not stop that
kind of thing even though the same info may be rehashed. However if the
posting to to personal topics or integrity that is another story and we will
intervene.
Right now there is a discussion about a listing on Ebay. That listing
linked to a BC 610 which is a radio all of us may be interested in acquiring
or operating. We don't chastise you for mentioning Ebay provided it is in
connections with something like this. This topic is a bit tricky because of
the fact someone might post a link to another piece of equipment that is
really not appropriate. If you have a doubt, let us know and we will look
then tell you if it is appropriate.
Again welcome to all. Please read the rules, be courteous to each other and
enjoy the list.
