Thanks Stu,
I use to have have a RME 4350 and I loved it. It was a sweet receive!
I haven't seen one in ages, but I'll keep my eye out for it.

The Drake 2-B and 2-BQ Q-multiplier pair, no question. Aside from its
obvious calibration and mechanical design shortcomings, I consider the 2-B
the "poor man's 75A-4" as regards stability and performance on SSB and CW,
and, when using the wide filter position, it sounds very nice on AM.
>From a more aesthetic standpoint, the RME 4350 (or with calibrator, the
4350A) is a great match. It's similar to the Ranger in case size and half
moon dial layout, it's nice sounding, and downright 'purty'! RME offered a
matching speaker and even an SSB adapter, neither of which are terribly hard
to find to complete the set.
