And I say if someone has a complain about another Amateur take it to the offending
operator don't bring it in here. No body wants a fight...This thread of Petes should be 

pulled an stricken from the list...it is an attack on a friend and mentor. and the is a No No
as I was instructed.

I think we're confusing a position of the mode switch, or a love for "big Iron", or knowing how to build a transmitter, with some inherently finer human characteristic.

We ALL (well, if you're as old as I am) were AMer's once upon a time -- the good, and not so good.  Any group has it's bad apples -- whether their preference is belching, f*rting, ranting on about global government and black helicopters, putting carriers on SSB QSO's, or whatever.  Pick a poison.
