Don't be so thin skinned.
There are plenty of AM'ers with attitude, no one in perfect.
There is the know everything guys, the done it all guys, the guys with 12 
studio's in their house, the guys who have to let you know the long list of 
rare gear they have,  the sdr guys, the professional broadcast guys, the 
newbie's who have no clue, there are all kinds, old grumps, not many young 
whipper snappers, everything under the sun.
The trick is to enjoy the hobby and not let anything that happens get you 
worked up.
Jamming? Turn the stuff off and do something else, or go some place else and 
call CQ.
On lists like this, there are some who like to hash things out, and it can 
come across a bit strong.

Keep in mind, there are plenty of AM operators that will help you out with 
stuff once they meet you.
Many people have helped me a lot, and I try and help others.
Its really only AM operators who would send large boxes of parts at high 
cost to a poor ham in Canada who was interested in building.
Or who would help move a huge broadcast rig into someone's house.
Or give parts away to someone building something, etc.

So its smart to assume the best about most guys running AM...
