Thanks, Warren. What kind of microphone do you use with your BC-610-I? Are
you using a BC-614 speech amp? I am about 4' or 5' away from the transmitter
and if I attempt to get close to 100% modulation using a D-104 and any one
of the BC-614 speech amps I get so much talk back it will squeal. Hopefully,
the suggestion of using the transmitter for an hour or so then disconnecting
and using a 50/50 concoction of marine varnish and water to reseal the
laminates along with using new stainless hardware tightened very well will
eliminate the problem.

My I Model sealed mod tranny has "talked back" from day one (five years on
air), reminds me of the
broadcast boxes I was around as a 3dclass endorsed kid reading meters in the
60ies...
My beast sits 6 feet behind my operating postion...but I've operated sitting
in front of it as well, and never found the talk back to be a problem...
