Yep that is what I find Odd as well!
If I'm lucky and not tired I should have the BC-610 on this evening,
Gonna make a "HOLE" on 40 meters on 7280, "Let's see what Happens"

thanks Jim... I didn't take it to mean you were saying they don't, just 
found the whole discussion very interesting, and I'll remember to check out 
mounting next time, god forbid, there's reason to go under the hood!

I guess we're agreeing it happens but its rare to be so bad that one can
't operate the rig...
