Hey Warren,
I wasn't saying they "Don'T" talk back, just that I have not experienced
that
with the ones I own. I have refurbed and placed several BC-610(*) models
and ran them thru the wringer before letting them go as working units.
I understand "Talk-Back", got an RCA BTA1-M it had the problem
when I got it, checked the frame bolts to all the trannies, removed excess
paint from the frames, put new hardware on them and NO MORE talk-back
from them. Mostly I find the problem to be mounting configuration and
hardware.

My I Model sealed mod tranny has "talked back" from day one (five years on
air), reminds me of the
broadcast boxes I was around as a 3dclass endorsed kid reading meters in the
60ies...
My beast sits 6 feet behind my operating postion...but I've operated sitting
in front of it as well, and never found the talk back to be a problem...
