That is why I use an EF Johnson TR-Switch, AND use the BC-610 internal
relay that shorts the PA tank to feed a second relay for muting.
I use the 455Kc IF output of either receiver to the input of the station
monitor.
I figured out long time ago that when running a QRO AM station that this
worked out very well.
I either use an SP-600 or R-390A for a receiver.
