I am also glad I found my Ranger and others when I did as well.  I gave too 
much for my Viking II and external VFO, but it had already been recapped and 
PTT modded, etc, so I thought was worth the extra.  NO WHERE near that 
Ranger price though, so there is some sanity.  Just stay off Ebay!!!!  Find 
hams that want to sell to users, not those who want "shelf candy" as my old 
Elmer called them, hi.
