Hi Jim, I just sold my 238A to a ham in Calif. The stock disc ceramic
caps in it did not handle long AM transmissions on 160 very well. I
built up a semi-homebrew L network using an inductor from a Unique
Wire Tuner with some Russian doorknobs and a Cardwell air variable.
Now my other L is acting up, my Inverted L came down and I'm off 160
until I can find time to put it back up and I don't know when that
will be. I'm tied up until after New Year.
