I never served(drew #295 in the old Ping-Pong ball draft lottery)
  while at college.
My father served in Korea as a microwave/RADAR Tech, and was
awarded a Bronze Star with two Oakleaf clusters. He was busy
doing something besides tweaking electronics, huh.
Have vet ancestors in every conflict since the French and Indian Wars.
A salute and hats off for all who served, and a thoughtful prayer for
  those now deployed.
     Jon, AD5HR
