Jeepers Gary, no one is saying we have to violate every law there is.
All this is, is that AMers used to be able to run around 5 or 6
hundred watts carrier output and now we can't.  A guy at the FCC who
hated AM and wanted to outlaw it and tried damn hard for years was
responsible for it.   We feel ripped off, we believe we are at an
operating disadvantage, and all for no technically logical reason but
because of politics, and that torques some of us off.   Have you never
in your life exceeded the speed limit?   Are you one of these guys in
the left lane going exactly the limit with two miles of road rage
behind you?  Okay, so some of us are not exactly Boy Scouts.  You make
it seem like we're smuggling enriched uranium.   It's just a few guys
who enjoy running big iron.  I'm glad they're saving a few of the old
bc rigs.  They are a part of radio history.  They're running clean
operations, no filth, pseudo broadcasting, "bulletins," drunken
swearing or other lid stuff I hear on slopbucket stations, and I don't
see the FCC running around conducting raids.   If I could have a big
rig I'd probably be 30 or 35% inaccurate in power measurement too.
Relax.  Stop worrying about everyone else and worry about Gary before
you put yourself in the hospital.  jeez. Life is too short.  I'm about
to go have my evening ice cream, and forget about the power thing.
