What I use:

Shure Brothers

Model 737A
High Output - Super Cardioid Crystal Microphone.
Frequency Response is from 60 to 10,000 cycles over a wide angle at the 
front.
Rear response is down about 15db.
1 to 5 MegOhm connection.
Manufactured 1954.
Original box and original Specification/use.

Works VERY well with the Collins audio input transformer.

It even worked very well with the original audio input transformer.  I 
just wanted to get a broader range.
So now I have it.

This is put into the BC-610 OR the T-213, which is nothing more than the 
"last" modification done by Depot in 1959.

400W carrier is what it is.  Power output is more than adequate.  I have 
to throttle the audio gain.
