   I can't figure out whom is talking down the BC-610 or HT-4.  I'm not 
getting such posts, could they be on another list and you have your 
mailer set to cross post to this one?

   As I recall these transmitters operate cw and am with 400 Watts of 
unmodulated carrier, (with good tubes more to spare) just right to 
operate conservatively at the full amateur power out of 375 Watts of 
unmodulated carrier.  A larger tube can be used for the final RF 
amplifier.  (possibly with a filament transformer transplant)
   50 years ago they were fine operating transmitters, carried on some 
military planes and at many HQ's during the war.
   Where's the beef?
