Uncle Sam Modified these at their pleasure.

It takes nothing at all to change the input audio transformer to a 
different range.   Simply match the impedance requirements.

I use a Collins audio transformer.  It is much heavier, and much broader.

I use a Shure 737A for the microphone.

The Mod Iron is NOT light.  A pair of 100THs driving the 250TH PA.

Nothing is small or light inside.

Don't have any idea "when or where" you operated.  It really isn't relevant.
