A sure thing? Pick up the cell phone! *poke* FB on the CW on 30 meters. I've been playing with other modes too.

Didn't try 10 meters. My problem with the high bands is every time I try them, I call CQ for about an hour and listen to dead air. The payoff QSO probability v. work in getting on 29 MHz is not good enough to attract me. I like a sure thing. So I pretty much stick with 3880 and 3885. Now, what I did do is discover my 20 m. dipole tunes to 50 ohms with the KW matchbox on 30 m., with the matchbox bandswitch on 40 m. (sounds like a line out of "Airplane!" doesn't it). So I worked 30 m. CW Saturday night. Rob
