  I have an (plate modulated) RCA BTA-500MX and it's pretty sweet on AM.

  I dial it back to 374.5 WRMS - don't want no Pink Ticket.   :)

  The 833 hardly gets warm.

  I don't know of any modern Ham transcievers that can match it's audio 
throughput.


   Just sayin'
