Electric kitchen ranges with 3-wire plug run on 240V, with the neutral and 
ground bonded together.  So does the BC1-T broadcast transmitter in original 
configuration. I modified mine to separate the neutral from ground.  I think 
electric stoves now come with a 4-wire plug with separate neutral and 
ground. We use propane for cooking; so the old 40-amp circuit that used to 
run the electric stove has now been diverted to power the transmitters in 
the shack.
