When you folks get into your RME-45s I'd be interested in knowing how well the bfo works.  I have an RME-45 that has a very marginal bfo, and despite my attempts to increase the injection I've never been able to get it working satisfactorily - yet.  Maybe that's why I remember the 45 being a favorite receiver of the 75 meter AM phone guys back in the day.
