All those issues also came up with digitized voice, especially back
during the last "regulation by bandwidth" hullabaloo when those guys
filed that bandwidth rule proposal a few years ago: is it still
considered voice, or is it digital? Is digitized voice allowed in
the phone subband or does it have to be with CW? etc. I guess it
became sort of a non-issue because so far at least, digitized voice in
ham radio on HF, seems to have mostly been a lead balloon.
