But it's pretty easy to work around the distortion and low fidelity;
the noise introduced in the IF strip probably isn't an issue unless
you are one of the 2% of hams fortunate enough to reside in a QTH that
has nothing else around you for a mile in all directions--for everyone
else with S7 or greater noise floor on the low bands it isn't
noticeable.
