[AMRadio] Right angle drives and the signal hound

I have been searching for a source of good right angle drives and seem to
have found one at Torque Transmission, an Ohio co. ordered two of the
double output shaft drives after talking to them. I need to gang two
vacuum variable caps for a P-P amplifier and these should work. Not cheap,
about $76 each.

The signal hound looks interesting but seems to be more an item of test
equipment and not really usable as a receiver as are some of the SDR guys.
The signal hound shows +20dBm as the max allowable signal. and also shows
sensitivaty as better than -160 dBm ! They do not say at what bandwidth, but
it has to be at the tightest of 1/10 of a cycle BW. that is sure not
usable for any communication. They also alude to what I used to call
birdies. That is a problem with the SDR-IQ, as is the horrible audio out
of that thing. It does make a nice band scope.
