[AMRadio] My BA Station: HQ-170 and Globe Champ 350

Thanks, Don!

I just got the Champ into the shack and on my operating desk. I
borrowed a stout cart form work and it worked just fine, though it
was pretty top heavy and I was a bot nervous maneuvering it around.

Nothing is hooked up to anything, yet: I still have to fabricate
ground leads to go to my single-point grounding bar for the Champ,
the HQ-170 and the TS-930S, then fabricate interconnect cables for
the new antenna switch, which is now serving as a rig-selection switch.

I removed a small Dayton squirrel cage blower that my dada had put on
the CHamp: the bearings were problematic and leaving it there
required a lot more space for the rigs. I have a nice, big operating
desk, but it still has limits.

I need to seriously consider rearranging the shack a bit so that the
TS-930S can go next to my TenTec Orion II, As it is, it will be
temporarily sitting on top of the HQ-170. That's not ideal, but it'll
do temporarily. Like most installations, there's a rat's nest or
wires that I'll have to rearrange to make the changes I think I want.

As my good friend, N7DR, once quipped: "All these WIRES!! Why do they
call it 'wireless?'"
