[AMRadio] Boat Anchor Receiver

It probably has DC on the filaments, too. Did you ever go to YouTube and
listen to the SX-101 clip? I have one of these receivers and what a great
receiver it is. They don't make them like that anymore!

Great idea for older boatanchor equipment. However, when using AM, there is
little variation in the received signal as it is "slopbucket." I observe
that when I turn on the BFO, most operators are not that overly concerned
about being on the same frequency . I periodically hear variations of at
least 2 Khz. which I do not consider that big of a deal, perhaps, only to
the slopbucketeers.

However, on that very narror window on the upper end of 40 meters should we
observe a split of at least 5 Khz., say 7290 and 7295. But, then again, I
can swing my AM transmitter down the band because, quite frankly, I am
allowed to!

Cheers
