[AMRadio] 32V-2 or 32V-3

Collins radios were designed to operate reliably. Seriously, those
handles were more decorative than practical, like the same ones used on the
KW-1. When you sat a 32V on the operating desk, you never thought about
"lifting the hood." That's why you bought Collins.

Cheers

That's the other difference I was trying to remember. They do make it
a lot easier to slide the V-3 in and out of the cabinet, something
I've had to do numerous times with mine over the last several years
with my -2. The trade off is - they did away with the side cabinet
handle cut outs as part of the TVI measures, which make carrying the
earlier models a bit easier (if hauling a 100+ pound transmitter on a
given day can be called 'easy').

Those front handles are the same ones used on the KW-1 (for removing
panels, *not* carrying it) and the ART-13. They must've had a bunch
left over from WWII.
