Actually there is more difference than that...

one key difference is handles on the front panel... ask someone with a 32v2 how they like hefting it around without them...

another key difference is the redesign (discussed here) of the final circuits for TVI. believe me as a former owner of a 32v3 tuning is tighter than a ... well, you get the idea. It would be atop my most difficult to tune transmitters list, after 46 years of hamming and broadcast work. Its not impossible, but tight, very tough tuner. 

Now, when the guys start saying BS... ask them how often they changed bands? Mine stayed on 10 meters for a decade...

final point... level of difficulty to work on... HIGH.. very very small quarters... ask any collins man...the only thing worse is a KWS-1...
