We also have a group of new hams here in town and they do sound a bit
CB'ish. Fortunately they listen and learn and all the "first personals"
and "that's a big roger" will fade away. Now if we can just drop the
"for ID" that seems to be appended to all transmissions, life will be
good. All in all, it's better to have some activity on the machine,
instead of the thundering silence normally experienced!

As long as we are whining, what about, " I tried to call him on my two
meter and had no luck" Where's the noun? Two meter is an adjective!

There is no limitation to the fidelity of AM radio. From a mathematical
standpoint, AM does better in frequency response than FM. - Leonard Kahn
