[AMRadio] WTAG 580 IBOC off for the 2nd day in a row

Hi Rob

I'd kill for a DX-25, the DX series just seems to work. We have two DX-10's and
no problems what so ever. I got one of the exec's at Harris to admit on a
conference call that the DX series were better transmitters than the 3DX. He
actually admitted that the whole reason for the 3DX's was cost cutting. They did
things like take the big Vacuum Variable out of the PA and approximate the
ideal value for different frequencies with multiple paralleled Mica's

Ah Bill, so you wound up with the DX after all.  Sorry to hear it.

Around here the WCCO night time IBOC on 830 kills the local 820
station at night which is down to 1.5 KW and a six tower DA to protect
WBAP.  I really hate medium wave IBOC.  The night 670 IBOC which is
only about 10 miles away (the former WMAQ) destroys my reception of
WSM.  I could go on with other examples.
