[AMRadio] what is this????

A couple of months ago I bought a Galaxy (made by Ranger) CB for the purpose
of converting to 10M to use with VHF transverters.

While looking for conversion info I found a Yahoo group called "CB Tricks"
and a website of a similar name.

I did find the info I needed for the conversion. But these guys seem like a
bunch of morons to me.

It looks like a lot of the truck drivers have gone elsewhere also. The
trucker channels here in the Seattle area are mostly quiet.

I plan to pull most (all) the CB crap out of the Galaxy and set it up to
operate 28.0 to 30.0 in 10KHz steps. It does have a clarifier that allows
adjusting the receiver. I plan to widen it to +/- 5Kc.
